Hidden Leaf ANBU
The ANBU (暗部, Dark Side), short for Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai (暗殺戦術特殊部隊, Special Assassination and Tactical Squad; English Version: ANBU Black Ops) are an elite organization that directly serves the Kage of the village. They normally have amazing skills that allow them to be put on high-ranking regard toward the Kage, as they are handpicked precisely by the Kage. Age, gender, background, or previous rank bear no weight in this decision. ANBU normally work in teams to finish the job efficiently and ensuring maximum success.
Divisions
ANBU is within each village as a form of tactical squad. In each village though there can be forms of different ANBU and forces that work underneath them, such as the Totetsu. In ANBU there are 3 ranks.
1. Squad Captain: A highest regard within an ANBU corp. Normally it's gained through sheer respect and experience but someone with such great leadership could be considered a Squad Captain, or someone with just sheer amount of strength. The Squad Captain of the ANBU is said to be the strongest and they are so trusted that they have the same powers as the Hokage does in terms of military.
2. ANBU Lieutenant: The second in rank to the Squad Captain. The Vice Captain will be 2nd in command of the ANBU corps under the Hokage.
3. ANBU-Ops: A normal ranking officer.
Each one has different powers based off of the village allowing them strength in some regard. A normal ANBU-Ops will have no form of power and be regarded as simple military power.
Uniform
ANBU are always classified by the Animal Masks they wear in order to conceal their identities
as Shinobi. They primarily wear Black and Gray uniforms but the Gray can differ from villages to other colors. The gray would be the armor protecting them from most attacks while small enough to allow them to be versatile. A Male ANBU will have a signature spiral tatoo located on their left shoulder and a female will have the tatoo located on her right. All ANBU also hold a Katana, normally strapped to their back. Some may wear cloaks to further conceal their identity.
